PICSPAM! Yes, I'm avoiding work and about to crash. But I couldn't resist mucking about with my camera tonight, now that I have an uploading wire. So. Random Pics of Stuff. Including me.
Me with the long hair, in a stupid mood one day last year.
I love this pic, just because of the bizarre shape of my eye. How the hell does skin do that anyway? Odd.
Oooh. Moody. *pulls face*
Me now. I just had it trimmed again last week and its short as hell. I prefer it a bit longer but I can't be arsed to go to the hairdresser every three weeks, so I had her chop it way down. This is it with no mousse or anything, so its kinda like I have a brush on my head or something.
So tired!
Didn't I say, in a drunken ramble a couple of weeks ago, that I look like a man with short hair?
...I so look like a man.
Just because.
Ages ago, I was moaning about having drawn some stuff that I actually like and not being able to scan it. Well, I still can't. But I can take crappy pics in the middle of the night with not enough light in the room. The idea is there, if not all the detail. Heigh ho. I'll never be a great artist but I love it and its fun and that's all I care about.
The only alterations made are to the light levels in Serif Photoplus, so that lines can, y'know, be seen.
I saw this dude, who was a judge at the Watergate trial, and just had to have a crack at his face. It looks better on paper and I couldn't get the photo to look as it does on the page, so I included a couple of close-up shots too.
This was going to be an R&R (from Milliways) picture but in the end I stopped after I did this bit because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the scene I wanted in my head down on paper. But that's why he's all squashed up on the side of the page - the rest was supposed to be used for something else. Oh, and its messy because a) I can't draw stubble, and b) I didn't seperate pages in my sketchbook and the lead from the sketch on the next page rubbed off on it.
This was the one I was chuffed about when I did it and I still quite like it now. It's taken from this...
...icon. Unfinished because I just knew that if I kept going, I'd bugger it up entirely. Again, detail shots included because the pic of the finished one looks weird as hell on a photo. The hand is too big, I know, and I didn't angle the head as much as is the icon - but I don't care. It's the first drawing I ever did that actually resembled the person I was trying to draw. So. :D!
All in all, I'm better than I was three months ago. I doubt I'll improve more - and artists on my flist, please don't laugh at them too badly - but like I said, its all fun.
And now, there will be sleep.
