So. It is an undeniable fact that with short hair, I look more like a boy than a girl. Less so than when I was younger, but still. It makes me crack up to no end when women walk into any ladies bathroom, see me at the sinks and do a double take, thinking they've walked into the gents.

I'm completely cool about this. For the longest time when I was a kid, I wanted to be a boy. Mainly so I could be a professional footballer, naturally.

Random aside: I seem to have lost the power of run-on sentences these days. Even in RP, I'm finding it difficult to make an utterance in more than a single sentence. Apart from the one I just wrote, obviously. La. Whatever.

Anyway, my point being (shut up, I did have one. No, really. Ahem)...any other youth!tomboys out there? And if you were one, is it a regular thing, actually wanting to be a member of the opposite gender?

I fuckin' love this hairdo though. It has a worrying tendency to resort to an Elvis quiff if I don't wax it right (but honestly, how could that not be cool?) but mostly, it's just rockin'.

I'd make a hot guy.

In other news - Monday is both a day of yay! and woe for me. Yay because I start college and I'm v. excited about learning things again, especially when I'm confident that I'm already familiar with a lot of the subject matter.

...on reading that sentence, I realise it may not make perfect sense. I know what I mean. Basically, I figure that it'll all be pretty easy, which is of the yay.

Woe, though, because I will lose my car for the next month so walking home from work is about to feature in my life again. And also, I lose this good computer. Also for a month, as mother is taking mine to a dude she knows to fix it and will bring it back when she brings the car back in October. So, that's a drag. But will have computers in the day at college, so no great loss I suppose.

*lightbulb goes off* Aha! That's reminded me of something I wanted to ask a couple of people on my flist, if they see this. See, the point of my re-taking qualifications I've already got, is so I can get the three A's I was always supposed to get. And therefore, apply to a University I've always wanted to go to. So, chains_of_irony? I don't know whether you'll see this but...is the Oxford interview terribly hard and complicated? Also, kenovay, I'm directing this question at you too as I'm assuming that the Cambridge one must've been of the same sort of level (congrats again on that, by the way, yay you! :D!). Was it really complex and scary?

And now, I go to bounce around elsewhere. This is my brain on drugs. :D!

I wanted to be a boy! I wasn't exactly a tomboy, as I had crazy long hair from the age of 8 to 12, but I thought being a boy would be awesome all the same. So long as I could keep my hair, and wear dresses when I felt like.

They didn't play any different sports at my school, but they did get to take their tshirts off when they got too hot. *huffs* Bastards.
