fightingthecageOK - this? Is fucked up. I mean, perhaps it's a sorta-kinda honest mistake, except why didn't blood tests correctly identify the woman? That poor family. :(
Other news - Day 1 of the Mother's visit.
Food and sundries brought with - middling to large amount.
Transport provided to next city over to spend Christmas gift (gift voucher) - check.
Use of Christmas gift due to store being complete crap - nil.
Items purchased as exchange for said useless Christmas gift - underwear (3 items), 1 pair cool skate shoes.
Transport provided to set up job interview - check.
Items purchashed with cash borrowed until tomorrow - small pack smokes (1), newspaper (1), ice lollies to replace those stolen from housemate (2), chocolate bar (1).
Lectures given (but disguised as 'friendly joking conversation') - numerous.
Family and work news imparted - constant (for someone retired, she sure has a lot to say on her part-time status).
Arguments - none.
Arguments averted by quick subject change - one (minor, but would have escalted).
Tomorrow's plans
Haircut
Fresh food
Arrange emergency dentist (because broken teeth are not of the love)
Pick up another job application form
Visit Lake District
Conclusion so far - could be a lot worse. Bound to go downhill now all revelvant family news etc has been spieled about and we start to get on each other's nerves. But I'm holding out hope. All in all, not so bad so far. And the skate shoes kick frickin' ass! :D!
Also, Big Brother was funny as hell tonight. Trying to explain the dynamics to a nearly 60 year old woman who pretends to hate such things is hilarious.
