Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Probably because I'd spoiled myself beforehand. And...actually, I dunno. As I write this, it's suddenly hit me that Jack's just lost the two people that connected him to his life before Teri. Kim's walked out and Tony's dead - just like every single other person that he knew when his life was somewhat stable.
Wow. Ouch.
Ummmm. OK, now I've just realised that, there doesn't seem to be a lot else I can about the episode. Good on Lynn - and ouch. The Chloe-Kim mini-convo was brill (I so love Chloe) and...yeah. Shit. Poor Jack was so distraught holding Tony like that and Tony's last words were fitting, I thought. He really loved Michelle.
Interesting to see what happens next. And WTF?! No silent clock for Tony but Edgar (and CTU at large) gets one? That's fucked up.
Right. Now I can go read what everyone else has had to say about the ep so far.

Date: 2006-03-15 05:44 am (UTC)That is so sad. And Henderson who is evil. OW.
Jack did love Tony, that's what we learned there...and Tony cared about him, but it wasn't enough.

Date: 2006-03-15 06:10 am (UTC)The Henderson thing - I dunno, it's so done. In movies as well, not just TV. The dude is 'dead' or in a coma, then suddenly they wake up to kill a good guy. I thought that Tony was going to die but I hoped for a fight first. Like, a big knock-down, badass muthafuckin' fight with Tony driven by sheer rage and pain and Henderson playing dirty to stick a scalpel under his ribs or something, y'know?
But no. Hmpfh.
I think Jack was more 'Holy shit, my buddy that was there for me and I just lost my daughter and there's no one left and ow ow ow...' than anything else. Plus, obviously, they've been through a lot together. And...yeah. Poor Jack. :(

Date: 2006-03-15 09:02 pm (UTC)Jack's telling him to stay and the way Tony says it, it's very 'What's the point? I've nothing left to live for.'
Sad. Poor Jack.

Date: 2006-03-16 03:30 am (UTC)Of course Jack loved Tony, you could see it in the way he was begging him to hang on, and how he broke after Tony died. Jack didn't even get to say a proper hello before all hell broke loose, now he has to say goodbye? ::sniffles::
And you're right, with Tony dead and Kim walking out, he has almost no one. They may as well paint a huge red bullseye on Audrey's forehead and say "She's next."
