I am very confused with the ending of last night's SPN. Like, so much so that I'm sitting here making a 'bzuh?' face at the screen. Though I suppose that could also be down to LJ's current fuckwittery re: working properly.
OK, I remember the ep with Lisa and Ben - Ben isn't his kid, right? Even though being a Dean doppelganger in just about every way possible. Anyway, I get that he likes her. But hell, I can't even remember if she showed up in S4 or S3, she's never been mentioned again and all of a sudden he disappears and drives to see her and...what, is the rest of America within a night's driving distance now?
I don't know. I liked the ep up until that point - hee, drunk!Castiel and 'Sam is an abomination' - and liked that Dean seems to have got some of his mojo back but that ending just seemed bizarre to me.
I want to see Lucifer. I want to see Death. I want God to show up and augh, Castiel's disappointment in God breaks me up. I want Dean to saddle up and make one last effort to fix this and work with Sam and for Sam to do something other than pull anguished/hopeful faces. And get a haircut.
Also re: the last ep - it makes me laugh that SPN's version of Heaven and mine correlate. There's a theory that heaven is whatever you want it to be, right? So I could see everyone getting their own private slice of the pie, even though no crossovers between heaven's seems a bit weird. What if your heaven involves other people but theirs doesn't involve you? I suppose you create the version of them you want or some shit, I dunno.
In related news, a few days ago I saw a few minutes of a S1 ep that's showing over here at the moment and oh my God, I can't believe how skinny and young Sam was in it. I mean, I knew he bulked up a hell of a lot and grew his hair out etc but wow, when you watch some of S5 that day and then get faced with what he used to be, it's like two completely different people.
Also also also, wtf is up with LJ tonight?
