1) What car did you drive during high school? (parents' cars count):

THEN: A Vauxhall Nova. Amazing car! Thought that wasn't in high school as, British. We leave high school at 16 and don't learn to drive until 17. But that was my first car (even though it was blatantly my mothers and I had to share it with my sister when she was home from Uni).

NOW: Toyota Corolla. Ironically, it's still my mother's car although she refers to it as mine and will never ask for it back, so it's all good. I still think of it as hers though.

2) What was your favorite song during high school?

THEN: Anything by Queen. I was quite obsessed. And 'Civil War' by Guns n Roses.

NOW: Anything by AC/DC. I'm quite obsessed.

3) Who did you have a celebrity crush on, other than Starsky or Hutch?

THEN: In high school...hmmm. I went through quite a few, I think. David Duchovny, perhaps, though that might have been the year after.

NOW: George Clooney. Kiefer Sutherland (I first had a crush on him when I was eight or so). David Tennant. Lots really, but only as a casual thing. I don't crush as much as I used to.

4) Were you involved in other activities in high school, and what were they?

THEN: Sport. Stupid amounts of sport, I was on every sports team except athletics. Drama, I was always cast in the school play. And music, I took a lot of music lessons. I played a hell of a lot of rugby at the time as well, but not for my school obviously - and that led to a lot of activities such as drinking and partying. :D!

NOW: GUITAR! I play my guitar a lot. And I write when I feel like it. Not as much as I'd like to. I only get to drink and party about twice a year now but I make the most of it when I can.

5) What was the first name of your best friend in high school?

THEN: Lucia, then Teresa.

NOW: Jen.

6) What were your favorite TV shows?

THEN: I can't remember watching anything religiously although I'm sure I did. The X-Files perhaps, though I seem to remember that more in college after I left school.

NOW: 24, Supernatural, Strictly Come Dancing, Merlin.

7) Do you remember your favorite article of clothing during high school and what was it?

THEN: I'm British. We wear uniforms at school. Outside of school, it was probably my grey rugby club hoodie.

NOW: My green GAP jumper. I love it.

8) Did you have a job and what was it?

THEN: I did a paper round for a while - 140 houses for £2.50! And worked in a garage shop on Saturdays for £2.00 an hour. I hated both passionately.

NOW: I'm a commis chef in a hotel kitchen. I have a laugh with the people but hello, dead end job that bores me to tears most of the time.

9) What career path did you want to follow after high school?

THEN: Acting and music. It was all I thought about. The Army was a fallback but a back injury from rugby ended that idea.

NOW: I'd still love to join the Army but I'm too old and committed to other things now. I want to join the Civil Service, if they'll have me. And write, eventually.

10) Describe your hairstyle during high school.

THEN: BWHAHA! Ironically again, not much different than it is now - I badly need a haircut. But back then it was short at the back and sides, but longer on top with a centre parting *shudder*

NOW: Similar to the above, only parted at the side most of the time, or indie style brushed forward and across my forehead. I mostly prefer it much shorter and spiked up in a punk look but as I bought some hair straightners recently, I feel obliged to grow it out a bit so I can use them and justify the cost of them.

I am depressingly similar to how I was in high school. I change little, on the outside at least. But my attitude ('you don't like me? Should I care?' sums it up quite well) is much the same and I like the same sort of things - rock music, drinking, having fun, football, hot men - as I always did. I just have a few more responsibilites now. But good ones, mostly. I'm pretty happy. :D


In other news - men are confusing.

I'm sure this comes as a big surprise to everyone.
