Kiefer Sutherland was interviewed on Radio 1 this afternoon - he's plugging the movie with Reese Witherspoon but was asked about 24, obv - and mentioned something
That S8 will be really close to S7 in the timeline, and the two days will be linked. He said that that hasn't been done before - the linking - but I'm pretty sure there's speculation every single year about how the next season is going to follow straight on from the previous one, yet it never seems to really happen. This is straight from the horses mouth though!
Oh, and one other thing that might be spoilery for Brits because I don't know where Sky is with its eps at the moment, so
And obviously, this means that Jack's not about to die of mutant!CJD. WHICH IS SOMETHING OF A RELIEF OBVIOUSLY! I am going with 'secret antidote' as the cure for this one - Hodges doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would release shit into the atmosphere if he thought there was a chance he might get killed from it too. Also, antidote as a contigency. Men like that always have a contingency.
I also just want to throw it out there that I'm pretty sure Tony's not going to survive this season. Either dead or prison. He has a complete air of defeatism about him at the moment and if that's not foreboding in 24-land, I don't know what is.
And now I go to watch the latest SPN ep.

Date: 2009-04-04 01:01 am (UTC)I'm still fairly sure that Tony will survive, because I just can't see them bringing him back only to kill him again. I'm not sure they'd risk the fan uproar, honestly, after the drama of season 6. I hope not at any rate.

Date: 2009-04-04 09:28 am (UTC)I dunno about Tony surviving. I'd like to think he'd catch a break and be happy but I just can't see it, really. He and Jack parallel each other too much and Jack's certainly not getting any luck.
