Amazon has just informed me that The Time Traveller's Wife is going to be made into a movie...starring Brad Pitt. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I don't mind Brad Pitt. The Oceans series, along with Fight Club, has awakened his hotness for me. But that's the point...Henry DeTamble isn't supposed to be that hot. He's supposed to look quirky. I see him as a slightly exaggerated John Cusack (who would be a good person to cast if his traits weren't so obvious).

If they're making this book into a movie and ruin it, I'll cry. I'm serious. It is such a perfect book and I love it so much, I can't stand to think it might get fucked up. It's the reason it's almost impossible for me to play Henry in-bar. I don't want to mess it up, even if not that many people (that I know of) have read him.

Augh.

Perhaps Amazon has out of date info? I hope so. Eric Bana is marginally better...well, more than marginally. He has dark hair, which is always a start.

a) Brad Pitt may be the worst choice of ever. But at least it's not DiCaprio or however the hell you spell his name?

a) ...point. That would be ridiculous. And looking at the production pics on IMDB, Eric Bana doesn't seem like such a bad choice (Amazon was clearly wrong with their info).

b) I do! Lol, in a manner of speaking - I've only had him in three times and I think people get a bit put off by first-person RP. But I kind of felt I had to because the entire book is written that way. I'm going to have to get him back in because I was wondering about whether to delete him or not and the only way to know is to play him and see...with a movie coming out though, I think I'll keep him. People might want to play with him more if they've seen the film.
