Omfg Dean!

Castiel's face when he was getting choked by Alistair was brilliant. He looked like a child! Also, how much do I want to app him to the Bar? A lot, is what.

Uriel is badass. And a wanker but mostly just badass.

Castiel/Anna is not as hot to think about as Castiel/Dean.

I love Alistair (Alastor? That is a far more demonic spelling I think). I love his demon-voice with the overprounced esses that make him all serpent-like. It is quality.

But mostly, Dean.

I second all of this. Castiel, Uriel, Anna and Dean just took this episode someplace else.

I mean I love Sam and all but he was just a bit player compared to those four.

He was - which is OK by me because I refer Dean anyway. But the thing is...I think we really need to know the deal with Sam at some point. I'm sure we will before the season is finished but I am getting antsy here - they hardly dragged out Dean's experience of Hell at all but we've been teased about Sam's abilities and Hell's plans for him for four years now. NEED TO KNOW!

Ah well, I've only seen season one and end of season three since I didn't have TV or good downloading abilities in NZ.

So I don't have quite the experience of waiting on the Sam stuff, which helps a bit. I feel like this episode was about figuring Dean stuff out and next will be Sam and then they'll be working much more together.

I have so much stuff to put on my netflix, its nuts.

I hope you're right! I just have the feeling that whatever's up with Sam will be the big reveal at the end of the season/show (do we even know if there will be a S5?) in some kind of massive Heaven vs. Hell/ Dean vs. Sam showdown. Which will be awesome, obviously, BUT STILL! I am impatient.

Hope so! But I think I was told once that Kripke had a four-season arc in mind for the show when he first...wrote it or developed it or whatever he does...and that would make sense because it has all tied together so well up until now. I worry that taking it beyond it's plan will just make it go all crap.

On the other hand MOAR SHOW PLZ!

Actually, we've always been told it was a five-season arc: Jensen let it drop at the con last week that Kripke was planning on four (possibly down from five), but then the numbers went way up this season and he was all flaily because his planning had to get rearranged again. (Everyone in the theater gasped at that -- we'd never heard that it was possible this would be the last season for creative reasons.)
