Somehow I am not int he least bit surprised to find out its Lilith that holds Dean's contract.

...and this makes me pretty sure that he won't go to hell. Because, as we all know, Lilith wants Sam dead. They don't have to find her, she'll find them. Of course, she could just wait until after Dean's gone and then know that Sam will also be looking for her but that wouldn't be as dramatic. Also, with Dean alive she's got bargaining power with Sam. When she finds them she could totally be all, 'be here and this time on Dean's last day' and know they'll turn up and then she'll probably offer to let Dean go if Sam will take his place or something. Or tell Sam she'll kill him and not take him to hell - a clean death - in place of Dean. Or...probably something a whole lot more dramatic than that, beause I am lame.

Bela - glad she's gone really. I don't feel sorry for her at all (though the little girl!demon with the red eyes freaked me out) and she just annoyed the crap out of me anyway.

Doc. Benton - him, I feel sorry for. The idea of anyone immortal being buried forever, unable to die, freaks me out like practically nothing else. It's been that way since I read the final book of The Belgariad, where something similar happens to one of the immortals. Why couldn't they have just cut his head off and burnt the remains or something?

Sam and Dean - continues to intruige me. The fact that Sam was so unwilling to go with Dean is something I find interesting. Turns out he was right, of course, but he didn't know that at the time. And did he really think that Dean would choose immortality over another way out?

I was confised over that whole thing for a long time because the way I remembered the original ep with the hell hounds in - the dogs seemed to kill the people and then take them off. The doctor lady definitely got mauled up pretty good. So I was all, 'well immortality wont work because you can't replace the soul etc' and then of course, I realised that the hounds wouldn't be able to kill him at all before taking him. Again, did Sam really think Dean would take that? He'd be mauled to pieces before they gave up, if they ever did. Then what would they do, kill people to replace the bits Dean would need to operate? Shaky thinking there from the Sam but maybe he's just getting desperate too. He must have realised that immortality would definitely be welching on the deal anyway. He still seems a bit laconic over the whole business to me anyway.

Still! I'm looking forward to the finale. perhaps because I really genuinely don't have any idea what's going to happen. Dean could die, get saved, Sam could die, Lilith could die, whatever...personally, I'm leaning towards a stay of execution for Dean and Lilith biting it. Teh reason for this? There's going to be a Season 4. There has always been a thread running through all the seasons and I can't believe that it'll just stop here. Something from next week will continue until next year - so either Dean dies and has to be brought back next season, or he lives and Lilith dies and there's someone else that wants the boys dead or...actually, as I write that, I don't think it'll happen. I think it'll all be about Sam. Something he can do or chooses to do or is made to do. We know that Lilith wants him dead really badly - so hmmm, maybe I do think she'll offer to swap Dean for Sam. And Sam will go for it.

Anyway. As you can see, I am clueless. and this is why I'm looking forward to it! Hurrah!
