Gordon Brown, go and get a fucking job
Jan. 23rd, 2008 09:47 pmI have a new computer mouse and its a thing of glory. Wireless and sleek and comfortable and with 'back' and 'forward' buttons so I don't have to bother with all that pesky right-clicking to hit the back button. So anyway, as promised, that meme I need to reciprocate on:
Here's how the interview works:
If you want to be interviewed, this is what you do:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.
Questions will probably be fandom or interests based, as I lack inspiration at the moment to come up with good life or morality based ones.
Annnd the news is telling me that Council Tax is going to be going up by about 4%. Can I hate this government any more, seriously? Its not enough that gas and electricity bills went up by 17% a couple of weeks ago and the economy's going to shit and I HATE THIS DAMN FUCKING GOVERNMENT!!
Sooo want to live abroad. *sigh*

Date: 2008-01-23 10:44 pm (UTC)2. How come you're so interested in ancients legends and myths and characters, such as Arthurian and Greek?
3. How much are you inconvenienced by having ADD and would you get rid of it if you could?
4. If you could introduce Medusa to any person/character - either as a potential romance or platonic friendship - who would it be and why?
5. Would you prefer to report a story for a newspaper and have worldwide recognition or write a book that's personal to you but many only get read by a small audience?

Date: 2008-02-02 06:06 pm (UTC)2. What's your favourite HP pairing and why?
3. Don't answer this one if its too personal but...how do you think Liam's autism has most affected your life/values/beliefs?
4. If you could choose, would you prefer to write a movie or a book (assuming either would be made/published) and why?
5. If you could meet one person, alive or dead, for five minutes only, who would it be?

Date: 2008-02-02 08:07 pm (UTC)2. Harry/Ginny. Yes, I know. But I'm a sap that way. However, I am also glad that he dated Cho and liked her a bunch for a couple of years before that. I'm glad that liking Ginny sort of came at Harry like a thunderbolt. I actually liked how it unfolded in canon. But really, I liked it precisely for the reason that other people thought it was "too easy"--because it gave Harry a HUGE extended family in the end. :)
3. I find myself being more accepting, I think. I find that it's easier to forgive people of their failings--though still I can be a judgemental bitch. ;) I've gained in patience in just the past couple of years, I think, and it's tested my ability to remain flexible. Also, this is one of the reasons I no longer go to church with a particular set of beliefs. I am more of a universalist now. My son may never believe in the same way I do, because of how he thinks. And that HAS to be okay. And I believe that it is.
4. Oh, book definitely. You can do so much MORE with characterization and detail in a book. See, now I just have to develop one of the six or seven stories currently percolating in my head...
5. I would say Christ, but the most important things about his message are spelled out in the gospels. Not that I wouldn't want to meet him, but what could I possibly ask? So...I'd like to meet my mother, so Liam could meet his grandmother. But god, only five minutes? *So* not enough. :)

Date: 2008-02-02 06:11 pm (UTC)2. You have to write either Harry/Dobby or Harry/Moaning Myrtle or Ron/Fred/George (possibly after Fred is already dead). Which do you choose?
3. You have five minutes in a room with Barack Obama. What do you ask him?
4. Do you understand the rules of cricket?
5. You have a chance to read God's Last Message to His Creation - but no one will believe you've read it and your knowledge wont be able to help mankind in any way. Would you go ahead and read it, knowing that you'll never be able to share it?
