fightingthecage: (...the fuck?)

Yesterday, I ate a strawberry-milkshake flavoured yoghurt, with white-chocolate coated shortcake pieces in it.

No, this is not a pregnant female's weird craving. Muller actually market this concoction. The yoghurt is the colour of that horrid child's cough medicine that is forced upon young 'uns. Or candy floss. It's really quite disturbing.

Overall, the experience was not one I wish to repeat. And yes, this is totally worthy of an entry all to itself. It was that strange.

ETA: Oh, I forgot, there was another question I wanted to ask the mothers out there. In the last five months of being up the spout, I've only gained 3kg of weight. Is that normal? Seems like it should be more.

*points and laughs at weirdo* Omg, really? Just...ugh.

Of course, I did finish the thing so its not like it made me physically sick. But I think that was more out of 'wtf!' at the taste more than anything else. :D

Yes, but not making you physically sick means it's great, because you're knocked up and therefore throw up all the time.

Whut? It must be true cause that's how it works on telly.

(I have rather strange tastes sometimes. And sweet yoghurts are a weakness)

Yes! That's so true. I throw up constantly and can't stand without swooning (dramatically, with hand on forehead, naturally). TV does not lie.

(You obviously do. Though I'll admit to an obsession with the jaffa cake flavoured variety of said yoghurts. Omg, so awesome)

The jaffa cake ones are awesome, but I buy mulitpack 'cause I'm cheap, and they have the strawberry milkshake ones.

That was how I discovered the weirdness of the strawberry milkshake. Methinks I will stick to individuals from now on.

Weirdest texture ever. Food should not feel like that.

I dunno about the weight never have being a mother...but I do know that my sister was a huge fatty...BUT she was already quite a lard arse.

Uhm, no. That is not English.

This is a question your midwife is better able to answer. To me, it seems low, but then again you were actively trying to lose weight before you found out you were pregnant. Now you're in the last trimester, you should be gaining about 0.5 kg a week. As long as your midwife is happy with how you're doing and the baby's OK, you shouldn't need to worry.

And that yogurt? The fruit-flavored yogurt we buy here is colored like candy floss, so I dunno.

Heh. I would ask my midwife except they don't monitor weight gain for some reason. When I mentioned that I haven't had to get any bigger clothes or even drop a hole on my belt yet, she didn't seem concerned so I guess I won't worry about it. Though I will ask her again next week.

Hehe... I love your title! Agree to R.W. completely in this. *lol*

It's normal to loose weight during the first months of pregnancy. You will gain some in the future certainly. I've lost a lot of weight myself during this time, probably because I've been so nervous, and my son used to kick into my stomach. *gg*

Usually the kid gets everything it needs from the mother's body, it always comes first, nature took care of it. :) Maybe you would like to ask for some minerals or vitamins, mainly to be provided with them yourself.

Take care! ;)

Word to the getting kicked! I feel like a football, only its all inside and v. uncomfortable.

I'm glad to hear it's normal - everyone keeps saying to me how surprised they were to hear I'm pregnant because I'm supposed to be putting weight on, not losing it! Ah well, Scribble seems healthy enough so its all good. :)

*lol*.. I remember the feeling.

Yep, it happens often. I had been able to hide it until the last weeks. If it had been winter, maybe no one had noticed. *lol*

Depends on the child, each one is different, you'll see. This is only the beginning. My son had been very small, when he was born, and he started to grow more than the other kids in his age from the first moment on. Always belongs to the tallest of his friends. :)

greetings
