I also think that Tonks and Lupin and Ron and Hermione will live happily ever after, I don't know why, but she just can't kill them. But on the other hand, you're right, killing Harry would be too easy. Everyone expects thats and the only question which remains for the last book will be: How does Harry eventually die. NOt that interesting. I also think Voldemort will die but I love your theory concerning Ron. Convincing. But Ron has to get Hermione in the end. We'll see...
Writing Harry Potter fanfic in general? No, not for me. I would always try to imitate Rowling:s style, it's always good to practise, but no. Your stories... I am always reading them. ;)
