EEEEEEEEEEE HI JACK I'VE MISSED YOU!

Mwhahaha! How weird is that every time someone speaks to Jack, they're all, 'Don't torture anyone! Yes, you can get a coffee but if you shove a towel down the throat of someone else in the queue, I will be really upset! Bad boy!'

Seriously, they all treat him like he's about to go sick at any minute and start biting people's eyeballs or something. Poor Jack. *pets*

How much did I love the whole, 'If you're asking me if I regret what I've done...I don't,' remark of Jack's? A whole lot is how much. Because that answers the age-old 24 question of how he feels about what he's done.

TONY! In full-on raspy badass-osity. Do I buy him as a bad guy? No, not really. Not yet, anyway. Though it's perfectly possible that he will turn out to be the genuine thing (what am I saying? This is 24) as a foil to Jack - i.e, they were both shit on by the Government and Jack stayed righteous but Tony cracked etc. Though I can't really see that because too many people like Tony; also, it would be a total cliche. Having said that, if Tony comes through this as having saved the world as an undercover thing (what's the betting there's a rouge CTU group operating on their own, made up of Chloe, Morris and Various Others, hacking through shit to make sure Jack and Tony are reunited), it will be cheesy as fuck.

OMG, Jack's face when Tony came up on that computer. He was all, 'The love of my life! Tony! What are you doing? That buzz cut totally doesn't suit you. How can I run my fingers through that?' and trying not to cry. BLESS!

Loving this so far. War on the cards in Africa, President's son's not!suicide that will be revealed after Prez and her husband nearly break up over it and he compromises her position and their marriage suffers, FBI being assholes, Jack and Walker will be wanting to knock boots soon but will be twarted by the fact that even though Jack saves the day again, they're still going to slap his ass in jail. Because we all know that he's going to walk back into the Senate hearing in combats, covered in someone else's blood and a broken arm (possibly also someone else's) and be all, 'THIS IS WHAT I DO AND YOU'D ALL BE DEAD IF IT WEREN'T FOR ME!!!1!' and they'll be intimidated and let him go. Only not. They'll put him in prison. Oh, and Jack will probably kill Tony (I can't decide if that idea turns me on or not).

All in all, business as usual. I LOVE IT! Right, episode 2 coming up. *GLEE*

...oh wait, there was something else. What's the thinking on Walker's 'Do whatever it takes?' Was that genuine or part of the 'intimidate him but nothing else' scenario? Because if it was the former it shows either that a) Walker is a torturer-in-waiting (i.e CTU operative in training) because torture doesn't bother her and she's only pretending that it does, b) she is ruthless (kickass!) or c) that was the quickest, cheesiest turnaround in history and the writers of the show are really saying, 'hey, torture is OK if it gets the job done' and they will probably be lynched at some point in the near future. Just sayin'.

OK, now episode 2.
