Proper Chrimbo

Christmas has been OK. It was a bit meh during the day because it was just Evie and I and she was a bit tired and therefore grumpy. But she had a sleep before Steve came over and so was dead cheerful about opening her presents (which she still hasn't got the hang of but she likes playing with the paper) and we had lots of fun and took lots of photos and it was lovely. *beams* So that was good.


This was only the third DW ep I've ever seen all the way through - the last one I saw was last Christmas's special. I only really watched this one because I wanted to see what the reveal over the 'next' doctor was going to be. I knew it wouldn't be David Morrissey because hello? You don't dangle a new Doctor in front of people and then run his face in trailers for a month prior to the ep airing. Anyway. It was awesome! The Cybermen were creepy, I enjoyed the story, I fancy DT to bits (that's not new though) and the appreciation for the Doctor at the end was very sweet. I remarked to Steve how English it was - save the world? Have a jolly good round of applause and a few hearty 'bravo's yelled at you. Spiffing!

SO GAY THOUGH! And it wasn't even me who commented on it. Steve's never seen a full ep of DW in his life and at the end, when faux!doctor had run out of the TARDIS, all breathless like some weird cravatted virgin, he sighed and went;

'For God's sake, just shag him and get it over with!'

I laughed in a surprised sort of way, only not really because I'd been thinking the same thing. Then - to demonstrate how obvious teh GAY was - he added;

'Just turn him around, take his pants off, bend him over, fuck him up the ass and get it over with!' (I should probably add that Evie was asleep at that point, heh).

Anyway, I pointed out that I would pay good money to see that, he laughed in a not-at-all-surprised manner and I was left thinking how far we've come since last Christmas, when anything at all to do with sex COULD NOT BE MENTIONED.

I digress. DW was good. I am now pissed that I wont get to see DT in many more eps. I would make an effort to watch it for him but as he's not making many more, meh. Rosita was awesome too, it would've been nice if she could be a new companion. I don't know why I've never gotten into it - I'd been planning to watch when Catherine Tate was the sidekick but never got round to it. Oh well. There's always downloading DVD's.
