Oh...my...God...

OK, so...the computer I've been using for the last six months or so doesn't belong to me. It belongs to Housemate Jen, who's a teacher. Said computer went back to the school on Monday for a network upgrade and general fix-up - AND THEY WIPED EVERY FUCKING THING ON THERE!!!1!

Absolutely everything. All the episodes of 24 from this season, all the itunes I hadn't transferred over to my other computer, all my PB pis for various Milliways pups, everything I use to make icons, all half finished fics, everything I've drawn recently, all OOM's I've written since September, all the OOM's I had done for pups coming back into the bar next week...everything.

Crap. Just...crap. OK, so it might be fun to go searching for new stuff and start over. But there are some things that I'll never find again because I've forgotten they were there at all. Ack.

Considering she told me she wanted the computer five minutes before she left the house on Monday, ummm...no.

I've nearly done! I've done Delia and Fi's folders, and after all my writing that was what I was most worried about.

Thing to think about, maybe, which is what I've started doing after comp failure is to write the ooms in the journal? and just set it on private filter and then change the date and time to when you need it. *shrugs* not much help NOW, and I do prefer using word, but it's an idea?

Any long-haired dude I can get away with. You'd be surprised how few pics there are out there. So he's got about five PB's at the moment - the one with the most pics is a Greek model I found on models.com. I want to find one dude though, possibly an actor or musician, so I can have a range of expressions from just the one dude. No one springs to mind at the moment but I'll keep thinking on it.

Reimaged? Gah, technical stuff. I have no clue. But I'm assured that it's all gone for good, I did ask if there was possibility of salvage. Boo.

Oh, basically it wiped the harddrive and reinstalled the necessary programs. Yeah, all my stuff was gone too. Luckily it was just about 2k songs, some icons, a couple short stories that were in progress, and some scanned images.

Been there, lovely. I burned all my stuff before wiping my computer the other month, but while on the phone w/ tech support rebuilding my baby, the confirmed my fear that 'yeah, you probably won't want to put those disks anywhere near your computer since you might just give it the same ass-kicking virus again.'

I probably should throw those disks out before I feel tempted by anything.

But yeah, my heartfelt sympathies, my offer to help kill/maim persons of your choice, and also to share any music in my possession.
