Some sin for gold, some sin for shame, some sin for cash, some sin for gain

Anyone got a copy of Pendulum's Propane Nightmares they'd be willing to upload? So in love with that song. Eternal thanks will be yours!

I hope they play Hells Bells when Dean gets his ass dragged into Hell this week. Cliched and obvious, perhaps. BUT SO APT.

And a question for everyone because it occurs to me that I'm curious. Where do all your 'names' come from? I mean the ones that show up on your bio, not the title of your journal. Mine, for example, is 'Sweet talkin' lover of sin' and is a line from an AC/DC track. It describes me quite aptly. I was wondering about some of the ones I see every day. Susan, I think I recognise yours. Lexie, I am particularly curious about yours, I have to say. Anyway! I'd like to know but up to you if you want to tell me.

ETA: I'm so gutted I don't have Sky TV. I really want to watch Gladiators when it comes back on. *grumps*

*cracks up*

Mine is from an episode of Black Books, where Bernard is talking about Manny, who has run away to work for another book shop. The full quote (not right, as it's off the top of my head since IMDB is blocked here) goes something like, "Look at him. [He's] Half Iago, half Fu Manchu, alllllll bastard." I have never laughed so hard at a television line in my life. And clearly, it describes me perfectly.

(Other priceless quote from the same scene that I almost went with instead, also approximated: "Oh, look, he's wiggling. The wiggle of Judas. The Judas boogie." )

BWAH! That's quite possibly the most random thing i've ever heard, considering I've never heard of this show and therefore have little context. Awesome! That's been bugging me for ages - I can't think why I never asked until now. Thanks! :D

WELL. It's kind of from this xkcd. Hal linked it to me, and then we laughed about it a bit, and then she said 'and dude, isn't that just the internet in general?' and I said 'what? don't open boxes, they may contain bobcats?' AND IT STUCK.

Also, Pendulum = AWESOME, 'though I don't have that one. (I could probably get it for you though, if my music pirate friend comes online tonight.)

Yes! I thought I recognised it from there. And you're right, it's totally the 'nets in a nutshell.

I WOULD LOVE YOU EVEN MORE THAN I DO IF YOU CAN GET IT OMG! Damn you and your capslock disease.

Also, damn you for your constant SPN fic writing. I may or may not be finally putting metaphorical pen to paper for a drabble that just bit me and it's ALL YOUR FAULT.

this month's name: an asphalt flower is what happened when I read the poem Where the Sidewalk Ends, by Shel Silverstein.

You are the other person I was going to mention being curious about! Although, I meant the other name - in your case, khatten. I was wondering where that came from.

a nickname that plays off of a couple of things.

one: my last name. It's phonetic, so it's often pronounced: Oh-kat-tan or Oh-kat-ten.

two: my confirmation name was Catherine, heh.

Awesome! That's another one I've been wondering about for frickin' ages. Thanks! *curiousity satisfied* :D!

It was a meme! And how [livejournal.com profile] villainny described me - somehow etheral and elegant and delicate, with a wicked sense of humour that grounded me. I thought it was neat, and so I stole it.

Ha! That's a really cool way of getting a name - given it by someone else. Awesome. :)
